This track brings together researchers and practitioners to examine how emerging technologies are reshaping social, economic, and environmental systems. Topics include digital transformation, the Internet of Things, smart cities, virtual and augmented reality, wearable technologies, and green and sustainable computing, alongside digital inclusion and literacy, biometrics, semantic web technologies, and humanitarian applications of ICT.
The track explores how technological innovation can address emerging societal challenges and translate into practical solutions for a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable digital society. Through interdisciplinary dialogue, it aims to foster new perspectives and applications at the intersection of technology and society.
Tainan University of Technology, Taiwan
Dr. Chia-Chieh Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Multimedia and Animation at Tainan University of Technology, Taiwan. They hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Design from National Cheng Kung University. Dr. Lee's research has been published in the International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics (SCI) and Engineering Proceedings. Actively engaged in the academic community, they serve as a reviewer for Ergonomics and Acta Psychologica, chaired a session at ICKII, and serve on the Program Technical Committee for ESET. Their primary research interests encompass human factors and interaction design, educational metaverse exhibitions, digital performance, interactive media, and VR art-making activity design.
